In February 2008 the Congregation and Leadership voted to become an Anglican Essentials Network parish but remaining in the Diocese of Huron. St. Aidan's Windsor voted Sept. 28, 2008 to join the Anglican Network in Canada thereby leaving The Anglican Church of Canada.
It was announced January 18, 2009 that Bishop Bob Bennett of the Diocese of Huron had notified the Rev'd Tom Carman, the Rev'd Deacon Paul Almond and the Rev'd Deacon Harold Dolman that they have been deemed to have abandoned their ministry with The Anglican Church of Canada effective the 13th of January 2009. An agreement reached April 6th allows the Anglican Church of Canada to hold services every Saturday night at 7 until the court proceeding surrounding ownership of the property is decided later this year. On June 15, 2009, the ACoC and ANiC will be returning before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice regarding the future use of St. Aidan's.

YOUR INVITATION: Jesus said, "Don’t be afraid, I have overcome the world." Looking around, it seems like a glib claim not supported by evidence. The world is still gripped by fear, and death and destruction seem to be out of control. But wait a minute, it is Jesus who has overcome the world— not governments or armies or politicians or intellectuals. There is no other overcomer, no other victor, and our Jesus has invited us to be absorbed by His life and lost in His love, so that in Him we can share in His victory. If you haven't taken Him up on His invitation, it's not too late — come and worship.
